Summary
Toyota is being sued by a women who was being stalked by the multi billion dollar company. The alleged marketing campain upset a women, Toyota was being sued about ten million dollars. The women said, "I recieved e-mails, voicmails, and someone was following me." Toyota claimed to be different to be noticed and had seemed to go to far. A SFU profesor says,"If you go through an anoyying ad, studes show you may remeber the product, but forget why you remember it." Many advertisers have gone to far to be noticed, for example. "Diesel had shown a women brest feeding a setiant pet made of raw meat", how gross is that. Deisel had gone to far on that advertisment, I think these are very bad ways to get noticed.
Conections
The article connects many things are in the chapter three textbook. The advertisors take there rights and freedom and abuse it. The advertisors did as they wish and advertised some very gross and unapropriate things because they can do as they wish. The Canadian government plays a big role in maintaining liberties. The case was taken to trial to maintan the rights of a both Toyota and the women.
Niche marketing related the two textbook and article because the companies try to project there projects to the people who think talk about it. They attract the people by having people talk about it and visit there sites or stores to see the odd adertisments.
Reflection
I think this new way of advetising is silly and shoudn't be used. The new is a bad way, this way of advertising doesn't make me intrested in the product at all. The big companies should stop there ways because there abusing there freedom and disturbing the peace. The company owners may face many law suites if they continue there sillly ways.
